The Ed Wood movie by Tim Burton is great in that it tells Ed’s story using all good film making techniques.... it’s sort of a how to, where Ed Wood’s film is a how not to.

The reason we wouldn't do the Ed Wood movie by Tim Burton(no matter its quality) is that it stars Johnny Depp. I have to think about what actors or directors are problematic. I would be concerned the movie night discussion would be about Depp and his problems with Amber Heard instead of the movie. I have to take these things into consideration. It is supposed to be a fun event so I try to avoid stuff like that, it's not what Movie Night is for. It really isn't about the movie, it's about providing a safe, fun and non-argumentative place for 2 hours of peace from the real world.

Oh sure! I wasn’t suggesting for you to show Ed Wood! I saw it before the Depp abuse of Heard became public. I just thought it highlighted the places in film making that were lacking in Planet 9.

Ed Wood was a brave person and made brave films. Perhaps they flew under the radar because they were so poorly made cinema wise.

I respect your choices and the reasons you choose the films you do. I didn’t mean to be disrespectful in any way. In the future I will be more careful in my comments.

It’s a challenge, you know? I’ve been reading about you all for years now and have only recently non-commented. I feel like I know you all but you don’t know me at all, I need to remember that going forward. Thank you for all you do in making a safe space to gather together. 🥰

Don't worry about it! You are totally fine! I like to hear from people about movies, good to have the discussion. I know that you are a funny looking frog and a nice one too, and that makes you perfect for this place. Glad you are non-commenting. BTW I was like you at one point. Took me at least a year before I spoke up!
