Yeah, that, too. It's hard to say farewell to friends, and characters that come to life the way the Firefly characters did become a set of friends in a way.
You guys are ahead of me. I still have 25 minutes to go. I'm at the point where we are reminded of the importance of having backups. Coincidentally, I did my monthly backup to external hard drive earlier today.
In the original script, all 198 pages all of the characters come out alive the reason why they killed off book and wash was because Alan and Ron couldnβt commit to any more movies after the first one,
(they had planned four or five movies. After this one )
so ultimately, they decided to kill them off, and it was the lawyers for the franchise that convinced whedon to do that
you reminded me of a non-fan of genre shit who was half of the couple with whom my wife and I would often socialize, who remarked upon seeing Serenity, that it was
"better than Star Wars"
as far as she was concerned, and she rather enjoyed it, which no one expected!
River can see all possibilities, so she can be surprised, but it's the surprise of one who sees how the fuse of reality has burned along to one possibility rather than any of the infinite alternatives. Mal surprises her when he follows one particular line out of all the others available.
Yesterday was really busy, so I just finished the movie today. Thank you so much! I really like those people.
I might just watch that movie one more time, just because I can.
Okay, I finally caught up with yall. Got to the end.
"She's tore up plenty. But she'll fly true." Zoe describing herself.
"Storm's getting worse."
"We'll pass through it soon enough."
Words for our time, and for all time.
Thank you, ziggy. This has been a fantastic voyage.
And I'm so sad it's over!

And the big reveal is:
Zoe is pregnant with washes child. She has a baby girl called Emma
And Everybody comes out alive
(in the original script )
so that is how I see this whole franchise ending.
(Wash Zoe and Emma altogether)
> Zoe is pregnant with washes child. She has a baby girl called Emma
I figured as much, but I didn't know it was (alternate-universe, extended) canon.
...who becomes a pilot like her dad, right?
There are comic books, that explores, Zoe and Emmaβs relationship. I havenβt read them, but I like to think so.
