I'm still mildly tripped out that you wound up in the *exact place* I had been poking around on StreetView the very day before. Lol. Because if you love NYC but cannot physically get around it...that's all you have. (Wait, that's not really as sad as it sounds).
Could be...but every now and then I get the bug and start looking around the outer boroughs. I have a good friend who's from Broad Channel, a tiny place I'm kinda fascinated with. If you didn't know, you'd never guess by looking that it's technically part of NYC.
There is a cemetery near me called Mt. Hope. It has some well known people buried in it. It's a great place for long walks. Oh, does that sound weird? 🤔🫣 Oh, well then I'm weird 🤭🤷♀️
Not weird at all! I just spent a bunch time wandering around a very old cemetery where there was probably only one other living person on the whole property. And I want to do many more of these photo treks. Cemeteries are beautiful and peaceful.
Old joke: Houdini's greatest escape was getting out of Appleton, Wisconsin
Yes, thank you! My grandmother, Rose Melnick Edelson, is there—any chance of a picture?

If I were going back out there I would try, but it's a 2 hour trip and this is going to be my only visit.
I was wondering about the schlep out there. You took the train, I assume?
Subway then transferred to a bus.

I mentioned it a few days back so maybe I influenced you without you noticing.

I understand of course! Thanks for your kindness.
Photos are lively.
I am always amazed at the memorials in cemeteries… and the ages of the people.
And beautiful photos!😊 Sorry I forgot to tell you that 🤦♀️
