Welcome to Ziggy’s Firefly Sundays!

With how beloved this series is among the Wonkteriat it was the perfect choice for a group viewing. A Sunday afternoon watching an episode of a favorite tv series and you get to chat with friends who love the show too. I think I don’t need to explain Firefly to you guys, you will probably have better trivia than me! But there is a possibility some may be new to the show, I know, I know but there is a small chance so let’s try to not spoil any future surprises in the non-comments.

Each week we will watch a new episode. Of course there is the whole issue of how Fox switched out the actual premiere for the second episode (The Train) because they’re idiots. We will be watching in the order Joss Whedon wanted, starting with the episode “Serenity” at 87 minutes long. The regular episodes are 42 minutes long.

Remember how we used to watch TV shows? You knew that a certain day meant a new episode and with many like minded souls you’d anticipate that day. The previous week’s preview dropping just enough hints so that you think you may know what is going to happen to who. Some were able to throw in enough surprises to keep you coming back for more week after week. Firefly was one of those shows.

Here’s a little known Firefly factoid you probably missed the first time around. The crew originally included a feline as seen in the poster above but was it was removed after audiences were confused and expected a show about a kitty swatting at a firefly.
