I often think that the name of a strain will influence how you perceive its scent and flavor. If it’s called Garlic Budder, that is what I expect to smell when I open the bag. Sometimes it is just a hint, enough so that I can say yeah that smells fruity. Then occasionally one hits the mark pretty good. Garlic Budder is one of those. Taking a deep sniff I get garlic and butter separately. Terpenes influence these sensory joys of weed and looking up info on a strain now gives you its terpene profile which can give you an idea of the taste and scent.
But I do enjoy the poetic and silly nature of weed names. It’s fun. And even though cannabis is part of my healthcare it is also an enjoyable part of life. A mix of medicine and mirth.

Apple Fritter is an enjoyable Indica that is good for sleep and relaxation.
It did smell a bit of spiced apples and baked goods. Which does sound better than the more detailed description you might find on weed sites, things like hints of diesel, soap and grass. Uh yum?
LEE ROAD KITTY LIVES!!!

I hear funny stories from people who go into dispensaries.
