Today I picked three strains, Super Lemon Haze Cookies (sativa); Black Cherry Gelato (hybrid) and Ice (Indica.) Seen in the above pic, L to R. I like to mix up what I call cocktail joints. Sativa can make me anxious but I like the creative buzz it gives, so I temper it with an Indica. Sometimes this works well. I combined Critical Kali Kush sativa with Pink Kush Indica and they both hit at the same time and worked well together. Providing a nice balance, I find it to be a little more fun than just a pure hybrid which has just one flavor/smell profile.
So I figured let’s mix all three, a rainbow of weed strains. The three I picked are in the photo. A chartreuse, a pretty purple and a bright green. All with orange hairs.
But I found the strains I picked didn’t work at the same time. As the Indica hit first it has a strong body high and makes you stupid happy. Then that eased up and I started wanting to do things and got a bit chatty. At the beginning of the joint I was dealing with a broken drawer and after dropping it on my toe decided to wait till the sativa kicked in. Fortunately this mix is good for pain relief! I did eventually fix that drawer, vacuumed the carpet, washed the dishes and blabbed one of my secrets on Wonkette.
I enjoy my cocktail joints, mixing things up and giving me new experiences with each one I smoke. Knowing how strains affect you is the best way to get the most enjoyment and relief out of your marijuana consumption. Because if you are like me, you have found cannabis helpful in dealing with physical or emotional problems. BUT you also like getting high! It’s great if it can do both for you.
